Chhatarpur Assembly constituency is one of the 70 Delhi Legislative Assembly constituencies of the National Capital Territory in northern India. Overview Present geographical structure of Chhatarpur constituency came into existence in 2008 as a part of the implementation of the recommendations of the Delimitation Commission of India constituted in 2002. Chhatarpur is part of South Delhi Lok Sabha constituency along with nine other Assembly segments, namely, Bijwasan, Sangam Vihar, Ambedkar Nagar, Deoli, Kalkaji, Tughlakabad, Palam, Badarpur and Mehrauli. Delhi Legislative Assembly
The Delhi Legislative Assembly, also known as the Delhi Vidhan Sabha, is a unicameral legislature of the union territory of Delhi in India. Delhi Legislative Assembly is the legislative arm of the Government of Delhi. At present, it consists of 70 members, directly elected from 70 constituencies. The tenure of the Legislative Assembly is five years unless dissolved sooner. The seat of assembly is the Old Secretariat building, which is also the seat of the Government of Delhi. Chhattarpur (Delhi Metro)
Chhatarpur is an elevated station on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. It is located in the Chhatarpur locality of the South West district of Delhi, India. Shree Adya Katyayani Shakti Peeth, popularly known as the Chhatarpur Temple is located near the station. The station was to be opened in June 2010, along with the other stations of the completely elevated corridor of the Yellow Line from Qutub Minar– HUDA City Centre. However, construction on the station was delayed due to land acquisition issues. To make the station operational before the 2010 Commonwealth Games, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation adopted a special design to construct the Chhatarpur station, using pre-fabricated structures. Chhatarpur Temple (Officially: Shri Aadya Katyayani Shakti Peetham) is located in a down town area in Chhatarpur, Delhi, India. This temple is dedicated to Goddess, Katyayani. The entire complex of the temple is spread over a wide area of 70 acres. It is located at Chhatarpur, on the southwestern outskirts of the New Delhi and is just from Qutub Minar, off Mehrauli-Gurgaon road. The temple was established in 1974, by Baba Sant Nagpal ji, who died in 1998. His samadhi shrine lies in the premises of the Shiv-Gauri Nageshwar Mandir within the temple complex.
