''Chha Mana Atha Guntha'' is a 1986 Indian Odia language feature film directed and produced by Parbati Ghose.Bijay Mohanty and Parbati Ghose played lead roles in the film and Sarat Pujari in a negative role. The movie is based on the novel ''Six Acres and a Third'' by Fakir Mohan Senapati. Parbati Ghose
Parbati Ghose (born Chapala Nayak; 28 March 1933 – 11 February 2018) was an Indian actress, film director and film producer. Ghose was the first female filmmaker from the state of Odisha. Early life Ghose, who was one of eight siblings, was born as Chapala Nayak on 28 March 1933 in Manasinghpatana, Cuttack district, Odisha, British India. Her father, Basudev Naik, managed the Manmohan Press, a prominent book publisher. Ghose attended Sanat Nalini Girls High School. She also trained as a dancer under Kelucharan Mohapatra, Dayal Sharma, and Suresh Routray. Career Ghose began her career as a child voice actor on All India Radio before transitioning to on-screen film roles. Fakir Mohan Senapati ( Odia: ଫକୀର ମୋହନ ସେନାପତି; 13 January 1843 – 14 June 1918), often referred to as Utkala Byasa Kabi (''Odisha's Vyasa''), was an Indian writer, poet, philosopher and social reformer. He played a leading role in establishing the distinct identity of Odia, a language mainly spoken in the Indian state of Odisha. Senapati is regarded as the father of Odia nationalism and modern Odia literature. Bijay Mohanty
Bijay Mohanty (8 April 1950 – 20 July 2020) was an Indian actor in Odia Cinema. He was honored a National Film Award. Personal life ;Early life Mohanty was born in 1950 at Pandiri, Kendrapara and brought up in Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha. He started acting during his school days while studying at M.K.C High School. After his graduation with BA, he joined the National School of Drama. Odia (, ISO: , ; formerly rendered Oriya ) is an Indo-Aryan language spoken in the Indian state of Odisha. Gloria Mohanty (27 June 1932 – 11 December 2014) was an Indian theatre, television and film actress who worked in the Odia film industry. She was honoured with the State's highest honour for contribution to Odia cinema – the Jayadeb Puraskar in 1994 and Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1992. Asim Basu
Asim Basu ( or, ଅସୀମ ବସୁ) was an Indian theatre artiste and director, actor, art director, painter and playwright. Basu was known for his set design work in Ollywood movies and designing Odia book covers and movie posters. Early life He was born in 1935, to Motilal Basu and Bijanbala Basu in Kakhada village, Bhogarai, Balasore district. When Basu was in Kolkata during his college days, he chanced to work with actor Utpal Dutt in Minerva Theatre, Kolkata and his talents flourished in acting, direction and stage designing there.
