Chester L. Krause
Chester Lee Krause (December 16, 1923 – June 25, 2016) was an American author, numismatist, and businessman best known as the founder of Krause Publications in the 1950s. Early life Krause was born in the Town of Helvetia, Wisconsin, in Waupaca County, Wisconsin. He started collecting when he was a boy and his aunts gave him some Whitman coin boards. Krause served as an auto mechanic in World War II in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany from 1943 to 1946, serving under George S. Patton. After his discharge, Krause worked on his family's farm and worked on many construction projects. Career In 1952, Krause began his publishing career, publishing the first issue of '' Numismatic News''. He also published the Standard Catalog of World Paper Money and Standard Catalog of World Coins, both considered among the hobby's premier resources of the time. Helvetia is a town in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, in the United States. As of the 2000 census, the town population was 649. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.2 square miles (93.8 km2), of which, 35.9 square miles (93.1 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.8 km2) of it (0.80%) is water. Bart Starr
Bryan Bartlett Starr (January 9, 1934 – May 26, 2019) was an American professional football quarterback and head coach for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at the University of Alabama, and was selected by the Packers in the 17th round of the 1956 NFL Draft, where he played for them until 1971. Starr is the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team to three consecutive league championships (1965– 1967). He led his team to victories in the first two Super Bowls: I and II. As the Packers' head coach, he was less successful, compiling a 52–76–3 () record from 1975 through 1983. Clifford Mishler
Clifford Leslie Mishler (born August 11, 1939) is an American author and numismatist. He has served as president of the American Numismatic Association. Early life Mishler was born in Vandalia, Michigan and attended Northwestern University. Career Mishler was hired by Krause Publications in 1963 as an associate editor for '' Numismatic News'' before being promoted to full editor from 1964 to 1966. He became the publisher for all numismatic publications from 1966 to 1975, publisher for all publications from 1975 to 1988, and was named executive vice president from 1975 to 1988, senior vice president from 1988 to 1990. He was appointed president of Krause Publications effective January 1, 1991. Along with Chester L.
