A chort (Russian: чёрт, Belarusian and Ukrainian: чорт, Serbo-Croatian ''čort'' or ''črt'', Polish: ''czort'' and ''czart'', Czech and Slovak: ''čert'', Slovene: ''črt'') is an anthropomorphic malign spirit or demon in Slavic folk tradition. Chorts are often depicted identically to Christian devils, with horns, hooves, and a skinny tail. In Slavic mythology, a singular Chort is sometimes identified as a son of the god Chernobog and the goddess Mara. Likewise, in Ukraine mythology, Chorts were originally the priest of Chernobog. In folk Christianity, they are considered lesser minions of Satan. Anatoly Chertkov
Anatoly Chertkov (russian: Анато́лий Его́рович Чертко́в; 17 July 1936 in Tula Oblast – 22 October 2014 in Rostov-on-Don) was a Russian midfield footballer. He was a Master of Sports of the USSR. Biography He debuted professionally in 1958 with the FC SKVO Rostov-on-Don, playing in the Soviet First League The Soviet First League in football (russian: Первая лига СССР по футболу) was the second highest division of Soviet football,Evgeni Kazakov. Fenia Chertkoff
Fenia Chertkoff de Repetto (7 October 1869 – 31 May 1927) was a Russian-born Argentine feminist, intellectual, educator, political activist, and sculptor. She was married to Nicolás Repetto, an Argentine physician and leader of the Socialist Party of Argentina. Life Chertkoff was born in Odessa, in the Kherson Governorate of the Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine) in 1869. Her sister, Mariana, was the first wife of argentine socialist party founder, Juan B. Justo; and Adela, who married the socialist theorist, Adolfo Dickman. In 1887, she graduated as a teacher from a school in her hometown; she studied music, theater and dance. Because of her political involvements, she was forced into exile with her family. Vladimir Grigoryevich Chertkov (russian: Влади́мир Григо́рьевич Чертко́в; also transliterated as Chertkoff, Tchertkoff, or Tschertkow ( – November 9, 1936) was the editor of the works of Leo Tolstoy, and one of the most prominent Tolstoyans.
