Cherona
Cherona is a German-Ukrainian Europop group that was formed by the TV station Super RTL. The first single, "Ching Chang Chong" was released on 1 January 2009, and peaked at #15 in the German Top 100. Their follow-up song " Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song", originally by the group Passion Fruit, was also a hit. Both appear in the band's 2009 album ''Sound of Cherona''. The group parted ways in 2010 due to creative differences. "The Rigga Ding Dong Song" is the debut single by the German Eurodance group Passion Fruit, released in 1999. The song is the group's most successful hit, reaching the top 10 in several countries, including Germany, Austria and Switzerland and the top 20 in the Netherlands. The first generation line-up can be seen in the single's cover sleeve and music video. The vocals and rapping verses for the song were done by Leticia Spormann and Kenneth Clemmons. Passion Fruit (group)
Passion Fruit was a German Eurodance, Euro-Dance trio. The original members were Blade (Manye Thompson), Dawn (Viola Schubbe), Pearl (Carla Sinclair) and MC Steve (Mario Zuber). The later formation was made up of the trio Nathaly(ie) van het Ende, María Serrano Serrano, and Debby (Deborah St. Maarten). Named after the tropical fruit, Passion Fruit got their start in June 1999 with the top 10 dance-pop hit "The Rigga-Ding-Dong-Song". The songs "Wonderland", "Sun Fun Baby" and "Bongo Man" followed in 2000 and 2001, all making the top 40 on the German singles chart. "I'm Dreaming of... A Winter Wonderland" was released posthumously in December 2001 just a week after the group was involved in a massive plane accident. Mandry ( uk, Мандри) is a Ukrainian folk-rock/blues/ska band formed in 1998 in Kyiv. The band's vocalist and lead member is Serhiy Fomenko. Their music combines traditional Ukrainian folk music with modern rhythms, influenced by urban life, French chansons, reggae, blues, rock and punk. Biography Mandry were formed in 1997 by singer-songwriter Serhiy Fomenko, who had previously been active in the Kyiv underground music scene with the group Den' Vmyraye Rano (Day Dies Early). Horpyna is a fictional character in the novel '' With Fire and Sword'' by Henryk Sienkiewicz. She is a witch living in Waładynka's Devil's Gorge. Her brother, Doniec, is a Cossack colonel. Horpyna is Bohun's friend. Horpyna is portrayed by Ruslana Pysanka in the 1999 film by Jerzy Hoffman.
