Chernihiv Governorate
Chernihiv Governorate ( uk, Чернігівська губернія, translit=Chernihivska huberniia) was one of administrative territorial subdivision of Ukraine in 1918–1925. It was inherited from the Russian system of territorial subdivisions that existed prior to World War I. Ukrainian State
The Ukrainian State ( uk, Українська Держава, translit=Ukrainska Derzhava), sometimes also called the Second Hetmanate ( uk, Другий Гетьманат, translit=Druhyi Hetmanat, link=no), was an anti-Bolshevik government that existed on most of the modern territory of Ukraine (except for Western Ukraine) from 29 April to 14 December 1918. It was installed by German military authorities after the socialist-leaning Central Council of the Ukrainian People's Republic was dispersed on 28 April 1918. Ukraine turned into a provisional dictatorship of Hetman of Ukraine Pavlo Skoropadskyi, who outlawed all socialist-oriented political parties, creating an anti-Bolshevik front with the Russian State. It collapsed in December 1918, when Skoropadskyi was deposed and the Ukrainian People's Republic returned to power in the form of the Directorate. Hlukhiv Okruha
Hlukhiv Okruha ( uk, Глухівська округа) was an okruha (regional district) in 1923–1930 in northeastern Ukraine. Its administrative centre was located in Hlukhiv. The okruha was created in 1923 as Novhorod-Siverskyi Okruha centered in Novhorod-Siverskyi and was part of the Chernigov Governorate. In 1925-1930 it served as a first-level administrative division within the Ukrainian SSR. During that time on 19 September 1925 its administrative center was moved to Hlukhiv and the okruha was renamed accordingly. Also couple of its raions were transferred to the neighboring Konotop Okruha. On 16 October 1925 Hlukhiv Okruha was expanded after to its territory was added a territory of the former Putivl County out of Oryol Governorate of the Russian SFSR as well as several border villages of the same governorate from other former counties. Gomel Governorate
Gomel Governorate was an administrative division (a '' guberniya'') of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic from 1919 to 1926. Starodub County
Starodub ( rus, links=no, Староду́б, p=stərɐˈdup, ''old oak'') is a town in Bryansk Oblast, Russia, on the Babinets River (the Dnieper basin), southwest of Bryansk. Population: 16,000 (1975). History Starodub has been known since the 11th century, when it was a part of the Principality of Chernigov. It was plundered by the Cumans in 1080. It was burned to the ground by the Mongols in the 13th century. Sosnytsia ( uk, Сocниця) is an urban-type settlement in Koriukivka Raion (district) of Chernihiv Oblast (province) in north-central Ukraine.
