Chengelo Secondary School
Chengelo School is a coeducational Christian school in Mkushi in the Central Province of Zambia. Chengelo School caters for Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form students. The campus sporting facilities include soccer fields, a rugby pitch, a 4m running track, netball and basketball courts and a swimming pool. Chengelo School was founded in September 1988 by the Mkushi Christian Fellowship. Since then Chengelo has grown to about 490 students, with over 110 staff. Mkushi
Mkushi is a town in the Central Province of Zambia, located on the Great North Road and the Tazara railway, northeast of Kapiri Mposhi. The Changwena Falls and Fort Elwes (built-in 1896 by European gold prospectors) lie nearby. Mkushi is well known within Zambia for its commercial farms and is where Chengelo School is situated. An outbreak of fall armyworms started in Mkushi on January 6, 2022. Levy Mwanawasa
Levy Patrick Mwanawasa (3 September 1948 – 19 August 2008) was the third president of Zambia. He served as president from January 2002 until his death in August 2008. Mwanawasa is credited with having initiated a campaign to rid the corruption situation in Zambia during his term. Prior to Mwanawasa's election, he served as the fourth vice-president of Zambia from November 1991 to July 1994, whilst an elected Member of Parliament of Chifubu Constituency. Early life and legal career Mwanawasa was born in Mufulira, Northern Rhodesia, as the second of 10 children. He held a law degree from the University of Zambia. He worked in private law firms from 1974 until 1978 when he formed his own firm: Mwanawasa & Company. Central Province, Zambia
Central Province is one of Zambia's ten provinces. The provincial capital is Kabwe, which is the home of the Mulungushi Rock of Authority. Central Province has an area of . It borders eight other provinces and has eleven districts. The total area of forest in the province is , and it has a national park and three game management areas. The first mine in the region was opened up in 1905 making the then Broken Hill town the first mining town.
