Chen Su-yueh
Chen Su-yueh (; born 18 January 1966) is a Taiwanese politician. She served on the Changhua County Council from 2006 to 2014, then she won a by-election and succeeded Wei Ming-ku as a member of the Legislative Yuan in 2015. Education and early career Chen attended primary and middle school in Nantou County, subsequently graduating from Taichung Municipal Taichung Girls' Senior High School. She earned an undergraduate degree in history at Chinese Culture University and remained at CCU to pursue a master's in the subject. She has held lecturer posts at Dayeh University and National Open University. Political career Chen has served as a representative to the Democratic Progressive Party National Congress, and as legislative assistant to Wei Ming-ku. From 2006 to 2014, she was a member of the Changhua County Council. While on the county council, she called for a "crude and ill-made" statue portraying fruit placed in Yuanlin to be removed. Michelle Lin or Lin Chu-yin (; born 10 October 1972) is a Taiwanese politician and news presenter who is currently a member of the Legislative Yuan. Early life and education Lin received a bachelor's degree from Soochow University in Taipei. Lin was a news anchor for TVBS News and later on with SET News. Political career Lin was elected to the Legislative Yuan in 2020 via the Democratic Progressive Party proportional representation party list. As a legislator, she has been active in discussions regarding banking, journalism, and online scams. In June 2022, Lin voiced her support for the redesign of the International Driving Permit issued by Taiwan's Directorate-General of Highways, with the cover now highlighting the word "Taiwan" in large font. Changhua (Hokkien POJ: ''Chiong-hòa'' or ''Chiang-hòa''), officially known as Changhua City, is a county-administered city and the county seat of Changhua County in Taiwan Province of the Republic of China. For many centuries the site was home to a settlement of Babuza people, a coastal tribe of Taiwanese aborigines. Changhua city is ranked first by population among county-administered cities. It is part of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, which is the second largest in Taiwan.
