The Young Warriors (TV Series)
''The Young Warriors'' () is a 2006 Chinese television series based on a series of novels and plays that detail the exploits of the Generals of the Yang Clan during the early Song Dynasty. The series was jointly produced by Chinese Entertainment Shanghai and Huayi Brothers Media Corporation, and stars an ensemble cast of talents from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the United States and Canada. Synopsis In the 980s, former Later Han general Yang Ye pledges allegiance to Emperor Taizong of the Song dynasty. Yang leads his family and followers to defend Song from invaders of the Khitan Liao Dynasty. Chen Jie (ambassador)
Chén Jiè ( 陳介; 1885-15 August 1951) was a Chinese politician and diplomat. Civil servant Chen was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province to an upper-class family. After graduating from the Hangzhou Fu High School in 1902, he was sent by the Qing government to study in Japan. Because of the reforms of the Meiji Restoration, Japan was considered to be the most successful Asian nation at the time, and was the preferred place for young Chinese to study. Chen graduated in succession from the Tokyo Hongwen College, Tokyo No. 1 Higher College, and Tokyo Imperial University. In 1907, he went to Germany to study law and economics at the University of Berlin. In 1911, a revolution began that toppled the Qing dynasty, and in 1912 Chen returned to China to serve the newly proclaimed Republic of China. Chen Jie (; born 15 October 1989) is a professional Chinese professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Kunshan. Club career Early career Chen Jie played for the Shandong Luneng football academy and was a key member of the team's consecutive national U-17 champions in 2006 and 2007. He was promoted to the senior side in 2008, however to gain playing time he was loaned out to third-tier club Xinjiang Sport Lottery where he also took part in the football at the 11th Chinese National Games. Jie Chen (, born 1985) is a Chinese pianist. Chen studied at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music. Career Chen debuted with the Philadelphia Orchestra at age 16, and has performed at concerts around the world, including performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall. Chen has won a number of prizes, including winning fourth place at the 11th Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition.
