Chemistry (Virtual Riot EP)
Chemistry is the twelfth extended play by electronic artist Christian Valentin Brunn, commonly known as his stage name, Virtual Riot. Chemistry was released on 2 May 2016, by the electronic music label, Disciple Recordings. The EP features four songs, all of which are collaborations with other artists such as Borg, a collaboration with FuntCase and Juices, a collaboration with Dubloadz. Background and composition Chemistry was released to positive reception, with Niquemai from Stoney Roads calling the EP "one of the strongest dubstep EP's released this year thus far". A remix EP titled ''Chemistry (The Remixes)'' was released on 29 August 2016. Christian Valentin "Val" Brunn (born 20 July 1994), better known by his stage name Virtual Riot, is a German DJ and electronic music producer. He has released seventeen extended plays and two studio albums, most notably his 2016 extended play ''Chemistry'', which peaked at 20 on ''Billboard's'' Dance/Electronic Albums charts and his 2018 extended play ''German Engineering'', which peaked on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart at the No. 11 position. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in the early 2000s. James Hazell (born 29 July 1986), better known by his stage name FuntCase, is an English dubstep and drum and bass producer and DJ, from Bournemouth, England. Hazell first released drum and bass, under the alias DJ Dose in 2007, and in 2009 released his first single under the name FuntCase. In 2010 he was signed to Flux Pavilion and Doctor P Doctor P is the stage name of the English dubstep producer and DJ, Shaun Brockhurst (born 9 April 1986). Pegboard Nerds is a Scandinavian electronic music group, consisting of Norwegian DJ Alexander Odden and Danish DJ Michael Parsberg. The name Pegboard Nerds is an anagram of the duo's surnames, Odden and Parsberg. The duo first met in 2005 and formed the group in 2011. Previously, their records were released under separate projects and both have been producing since the 1990s. Karl Thomas, better known as ShockOne, is an Australian electronic music producer and DJ born in 1982. Originally from Esperance, Western Australia, he now resides in Perth. He has been releasing music as ShockOne since 2005, producing a wide variety of dance genres including drum and bass, dubstep, drumstep and electro house. John Dadzie (born June 7, 1982), better known by his stage names 12th Planet and Infiltrata, is an American Disc jockey, DJ and dubstep producer from Los Angeles. Biography Born John Dadzie, he grew up in South Los Angeles, the youngest of four children. He was first introduced to the electronic music scene in high school. After forming Imperial Recordings with DJ Lith, he launched his production skills on his own terms, originally producing drum and bass under the alias Infiltrata.
