The Check My Ads Agency and Check My Ads Institute are organizations founded by Nandini Jammi and Claire Atkin. The Check My Ads Agency is a brand safety and marketing consultancy that Atkin and Jammi founded in 2020. The Check My Ads Institute is a non-profit advertising watchdog organization created in October 2021, which aims to do deeper investigative research into the advertising technology industry. Jammi and Atkin also publish a newsletter called ''Branded''. Real-time bidding (RTB) is a means by which advertising inventory is bought and sold on a per- impression basis, via instantaneous programmatic auction, similar to financial markets. With real-time bidding, advertising buyers bid on an impression and, if the bid is won, the buyer's ad is instantly displayed on the publisher's site. George Perry Floyd Jr. (October 14, 1973 – May 25, 2020) was an African-American man who was murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during an arrest made after a store clerk suspected Floyd may have used a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill, on May 25, 2020. In computing, a blacklist, disallowlist, blocklist, or denylist is a basic access control mechanism that allows through all elements (email addresses, users, passwords, URLs, IP addresses, domain names, file hashes, etc.), except those explicitly mentioned.
