"Check It Out" is a song performed by American rapper will.i.am and Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj. The hip hop and electropop song, written by will.i.am and Minaj, samples the 1979 hit single "Video Killed the Radio Star" by the Buggles. After release, it debuted on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 at #78 and on the Canadian Hot 100 at #48. It appears on Minaj's first album, ''Pink Friday'', though it was not released to promote the album. The special remix released in the UK features the British recording artist Cheryl Cole. The ''Billboard'' Hot 100 is the music industry standard record chart in the United States for songs, published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine.
