Cheboksary Physics and Mathematics School — special boarding school in the Chuvash State University. Location: 24, str. Urukova, Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, RSFSR. Now closed. Overview For the school selected the best trained in physics and math students of the Chuvash Republic, graduated seven classes. In school education took place in 8-10 grades. History The school was opened in 1968 near the Chuvash University. In 1981 the school closed. The school was closed due to a change in the school's management, squabbles in the Ministry of education of Chuvashia and among teachers of the city of Cheboksary, as well as due to the dropping number of children in villages and towns, and a General drop in the birth rate in rural areas. I. N. Ulianov Chuvash State University is a public university located in Cheboksary, the capital of the Chuvash Republic, Russia. The university is one of the leading institutions of higher learning in Russia and is the scientific, educational and cultural center of the Privolsky Federal Region of the Russian Federation, which is highly regarded among national universities. Cheboksary (; russian: Чебокса́ры, r=Cheboksáry, p=tɕɪbɐˈksarɨ; cv, Шупашкар, ''Şupaşkar'') is the capital city of Chuvashia, Russia and a port on the Volga River. Geography The city is located in the Volga Upland region and stands on the shore of the Cheboksary Reservoir. History Cheboksary was first mentioned in written sources in 1469, but according to archaeological excavations, the area had been populated much earlier. Alikovo Middle School
Alikovo Middle School (also known as "Yakovlev's school") is a state middle school that was opened in 1853 in the Alikovsky District of the Chuvash Republic of Russia, where it still stands today. As the alternate name of the education center suggests, Alikovo was founded by Ivan Yakovlev, a celebrated Chuvash educator and author, who is noted for having facilitated experiences of enlightenment. History In Tsarist period Based on documented evidence, Alikovsky High School was established in 1854. According to the present document archive, the school opened in 1853, in a parish comprising 34 villages, with a population of 3,917 males and 3,983 females, and was built as the School of the Ministry of State Property. Chuvash State Academic Song And Dance Ensemble
Chuvash State Academic Song and Dance Ensemble is a Russian art collective, originally named the Chuvash National Choir. History The team was founded in 1924 by Chuvash professional music composers and choral conductors F.P. Pavlov (1892–1931) and V.P. Vorobyov (1887–1954) as the Chuvash National Choir. Its leaders began to gather and process Chuvash folk songs, performing them for the public in Chuvashia and throughout Russia. In the 1920s the choir toured in Moscow, Leningrad and Gorky. Ensemble In 1939 the Chuvash National Choir was renamed the Chuvash State Song and Dance Ensemble. The first artistic director was a young composer and conductor A.G. Orlov-Shuzm (1914–1996).
