Chazz Woodson
Chazz Woodson (born August 9, 1982) is a Premier Lacrosse League player for Redwoods Lacrosse Club and head coach of the Hampton Pirates Men’s Lacrosse. High school career Woodson graduated from Blue Ridge School in 2001. College career Woodson attended Brown University and was a four-year letterman in lacrosse He was a two-time All-Ivy League selection. Professional career Woodson was originally selected by the Long Island Lizards in the 2005 MLL Collegiate Draft (19th overall) and appeared in three games with the Lizards. Woodson was traded to the Cannons for midfielder Tim Byrnes and a second round selection in the 2007 MLL Draft. From 2007 to 2008, Woodson played for the LA Riptide. The Redwoods Lacrosse Club is a professional men's field lacrosse team in Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The Redwoods are one of the six founding members of the PLL for the 2019 season. Blue Ridge School
Blue Ridge School is a private, all-male boarding school for students grades 9-12 located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Saint George, Virginia, near Charlottesville and the University of Virginia. The school was originally founded in 1909 by The Rev. George P. Mayo, an Episcopalian clergyman, as the Blue Ridge Industrial School, a school for the rural mountain students living in the region. It closed in 1960. The Blue Ridge School of today opened in 1962 as an all-boys boarding college preparatory school. Hampton University
Hampton University is a private, historically black, research university in Hampton, Virginia. Paul Rabil (born December 14, 1985), is an American former professional lacrosse player and co-founder of the Premier Lacrosse League. He played for the Cannons Lacrosse Club and Atlas Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League, as well as the Boston Cannons and the New York Lizards of Major League Lacrosse and the San Jose/Washington Stealth and Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League. Chesapeake Bayhawks
The Chesapeake Bayhawks were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Annapolis, Maryland since 2010. They played in the greater Baltimore metro area beginning with the MLL's inaugural 2001 season, as the Baltimore Bayhawks from 2001–2006 and as the Washington Bayhawks from 2007–2009. The Los Angeles Riptide were a lacrosse team based in Carson, California. From 2006 to 2008, they played in Major League Lacrosse and ceased operations before the 2009 season. Lacrosse is a team sport played with a lacrosse stick and a lacrosse ball. It is the oldest organized sport in North America, with its origins with the indigenous people of North America as early as the 12th century. The game was extensively modified by European colonists, reducing the violence, to create its current collegiate and professional form.
