Chatroom (film)
''Chatroom'' is a 2010 British psychological thriller drama film directed by Hideo Nakata from a screenplay by Enda Walsh, based on Walsh's 2005 play of the same name. The film follows five teenagers who meet on an online chatroom and encourage each other's bad behaviour. Plot William Collins is a depressed teenage boy recovering from self-harm and regularly goes online to chatrooms. One day, he decides to open a chatroom himself and calls it "Chelsea Teens!", where he meets Jim, Eva, Emily and Mo. There is no real subject matter in "Chelsea Teens!", which instead focuses on the lives of each one as they talk. Even though they only really communicate through text, they are depicted in an old hotel-like room and actually having contact. William is a loner who lives with his parents. He hates both his parents, blaming them for his past, and lives his entire life on the Internet. Hideo Nakata
is a Japanese filmmaker. Life and career Nakata was born in Okayama, Japan. He is most familiar to Western audiences for his work on Japanese horror films such as ''Ring'' (1998), ''Ring 2'' (1999) and ''Dark Water'' (2002). Several of these were remade in English as '' The Ring'' (2002), ''Dark Water'' (2005), and ''The Ring Two''. Nakata was scheduled to make his English-language debut with ''True Believers'', but later pulled out. He was later offered by DreamWorks to direct the movie ''The Ring Two'' (2005), which he accepted, making his English-language debut with a sequel to a remake of his own film. Nakata made his initial breakthrough into film with '' Ghost Actress'' a.k.a. ''Don't Look Up'' (1996). Self-harm
Self-harm is intentional behavior that is considered harmful to oneself. This is most commonly regarded as direct injury of one's own skin tissues usually without a suicidal intention. Other terms such as cutting, self-injury and self-mutilation have been used for any self-harming behavior regardless of suicidal intent. It is not the same as masochism, as no sexual or nonsexual pleasure is obtained. The most common form of self-harm is using a sharp object to cut the skin. Other forms include scratching, hitting, or burning body parts. While earlier usage included interfering with wound healing, excessive skin-picking, hair-pulling, and the ingestion of toxins, current usage distinguishes these behaviors from self-harm. Shepperton Studios
Shepperton Studios is a film studio located in Shepperton, Surrey, England, with a history dating back to 1931. It is now part of the Pinewood Studios Group. During its early existence, the studio was branded as Sound City (not to be confused with the Californian recording studio of the same name). History 1930s–1960s Shepperton Studios was built on the grounds of Littleton Park, which was built in the 17th century by local nobleman Thomas Wood. The old mansion still stands on the site. London Zoo, also known as ZSL London Zoo or London Zoological Gardens is the world's oldest scientific zoo.
