Chasing The Dragon (film)
''Chasing the Dragon'' (), previously known as ''King of Drug Dealers'', is a Hong Kong-Chinese action crime drama film directed by Wong Jing and Jason Kwan. The film stars Donnie Yen as Crippled Ho, based on real life gangster Ng Sik-ho and Andy Lau reprising his role as Lee Rock from the film series of the same name. The film is about an illegal immigrant from Hong Kong who sneaks into British-colonized Hong Kong in 1963 and transforms himself into a ruthless and emerging drug lord. The film is a remake of the 1991 film '' To Be Number One''. '' Chasing the Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch'', a sequel-in-name-only featuring new characters and a new storyline was released in June 2019. Wong Jing
Wong Jing ( born 3 May 1955) is a Hong Kong film director, producer, actor, presenter, and screenwriter. A prolific filmmaker with strong instincts for crowd-pleasing and publicity, Wong Jing played a prominent role in Hong Kong cinema during the 1990s. Biography Wong was born in Hong Kong, the son of noted film director Wong Tin-Lam. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a degree in Chinese literature which he describes as "useless" (Yang, 2003). Lui Lok
Lui Lok (; born Lui Mo Lok (); 16 May 1920 – 13 May 2010) dubbed as 'The Five-Hundred-Million-Dollar Inspector', was a former Hong Kong Detective Staff Sergeant I. He became notorious for his acts of corruption during the 1960s to 1970s during British Hong Kong period, and being wanted by ICAC. Biography Lui Mo Lok was born in Haifeng County, Guangdong and spent his childhood there. Lui immigrated to Cheung Chau before moving to Hong Kong, there he survived as a shoeshiner, a postman and a rickshaw driver before joining the Hong Kong Police Force. Michael Chan (actor)
Michael Chan Wai-man (; born 10 July 1943) is a Hong Kong actor and martial artist. A Hakka of Wuhua ancestry born in New Territories, Chan was well known for various triad roles, when in actuality he had been involved with triads in real life. In a media interview, he admitted to have been the No. 2 in the 14K Triad that dominated vice in Tsim Sha Tsui before the handover of Hong Kong. Having worked as a police officer in the prison system, he came into contact with many underworld figures and joined the Triads.
