''Chase'' was a comic book series published by DC Comics. It was written by Dan Curtis Johnson, illustrated by J.H. Williams III and inked by Mick Gray. It lasted ten issues (including a special #1,000,000 issue). The character of Cameron Chase first appeared in '' Batman'' #550 (January 1998) written by Doug Moench and drawn by Kelley Jones. Chase were an American jazz rock band led by Bill Chase. They are best known for their 1971 hit single, "Get It On". History 1970–1972: Early success The band Chase was created in 1970 by Bill Chase, Ted Piercefield, Alan Ware, and Jerry Van Blair, all veteran jazz trumpeters who were also adept at vocals and arranging. They were backed up by a rhythm section consisting of Phil Porter on keyboards, Angel South (born Lucien Gondron from Port Arthur, TX) on guitar, Dennis Johnson on bass, and Jay Burrid (born John Mitthauer) on percussion. Rounding out the group was Terry Richards, who was featured as lead vocalist on the first album. In April 1971, the band released their debut album, ''Chase'', which contains Chase's best-known song, "Get It On", released as a single that spent 13 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 beginning in May 1971, eventually peaking at #24 in July of that year. ''Chase'' was the last in a string of solo debuts by members of the boy group Shinee. It contains six songs belonging to the hip hop and R&B genres, including lead single "Chase". It peaked at number four on South Korea's Circle Album Chart. Background Minho debuted as a member of South Korean boy band Shinee in 2008. The other Shinee members, Taemin, Jonghyun, Key and Onew, had already released solo work previously, leaving Minho the final member to go solo. The Chase Aircraft Company, founded in 1943, was an American aircraft manufacturer, primarily constructing assault gliders and military transport aircraft. Lacking space for expansion, the company was purchased by Henry J. Kaiser in 1951. ''Chase'' was the debut album by jazz-rock fusion band Chase. Bill Chase was already a well-established lead trumpet player when he decided to form his own band. He recruited three other veteran trumpet players and vocalist Terry Richards, backed them with a rock rhythm section, and created a band which merged both jazz and rock styles. The album was recorded in Chicago in November and early December 1970 and released in April 1971. The single "Get It On" spent thirteen weeks on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart starting in May 1971, eventually peaking at #24 in July of that year. This success drove album sales to more than 400,000 units - unusually high for a jazz artist. Chase Coaches was a bus company operating in the Black Country. History Chase Coaches was established when Graham Dodd purchased the business of Churchbridge Luxury Coaches. Following deregulation in 1986, bus operations commenced. The livery of white, orange and brown was adopted after the purchase of some former Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive Leyland National buses. The original fleet livery was off-white with prussian blue relief. On 25 February 2007, the business was purchased by Arriva Midlands with 27 buses and 40 employees. At the time of the sale, the majority of the fleet were Leyland Nationals, but also included one Ikarus Citibus bodied DAF SB220 and three UVG Urbanstar bodied Dennis Dart SLFs. It was released as a single during 1978 from his Academy Award-winning soundtrack album ''Midnight Express'' (1978), and was a disco instrumental that was subsequently extended and released as a maxi single. It made the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in January 1979, peaking at number 33, and the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number 48. Background Created especially for the film '' Midnight Express'', Alan Parker, the director of the film, explicitly asked Moroder for a song in the style of "I Feel Love", which Moroder composed for Donna Summer. It was Moroder's second time composing a movie soundtrack after his work on 1972's German softcore sex film "Sex Life in a Convent".
