Charthana is a major village in Jintur taluka of Parbhani district in Maharashtra state of India. It used to be known as Charukshetra Nagari in the name of king Charudatta. There are near about 360 temples of Mahadeva, some of which are under the ground. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has acquired the remaining temples for conservation. 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority.
