Charoenrat 31 Bridge
Charoenrat 31 Bridge ( th, สะพานเจริญรัช ๓๑) is a historic bridge was built across the south city moat known as Pak Khlong Talat. It was paired with Chaloem Sawan 58 Bridge, built across the city moat in the north (demolished in 1971 from the construction of the Phra Pinklao Bridge). King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) gave contribution equal to his age build the bridge for public use, in the occasion of his birthday anniversary in 1910, which was also the first year of his reign. The bridge officially opened in 1911 and named "Charoenrat 31" ("the King prospered 31 years"). It was the first bridge with the name "Charoen" (the following bridge is Charoenrat 32 Bridge in Bobae area). Wild Tiger Corps
The Wild Tiger Corps ( th, กองเสือป่า) was a national paramilitary corps founded in Thailand in 1911 by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI). Inspired by the British Volunteer Force, the unit was intended to maintain civil order. The Wild Tiger Corps was founded on 1 May 1911 by King Vajiravudh. The corps was meant to be a nationwide paramilitary corps, answerable only to the monarch. At first a ceremonial guard, it became a military force of 4,000 within its first year. Filled with commoners, the king would often mess with them and socialize with them openly. The corps eventually rivalled the army in strength and the civil service in influence. The Chao Phraya Express Boat ( th, เรือด่วนเจ้าพระยา ''Ruea Duan Chao Phraya'') is a transportation service in Thailand operating on the Chao Phraya River. It provides riverine express transportation between stops in the capital city of Bangkok and to Nonthaburi, the province immediately to the north. Established in 1971, the Chao Phraya Express Boat Company serves both local commuters and tourists. It also offers special tourist boats and a weekend river boat tours, as well as offering boats available for charter. Rajini School
Rajini School ( th, โรงเรียนราชินี, , lit. "Queen's School") is a private girls' school in Thailand, and one of the oldest in the country. It was founded in 1904 by Queen Saovabha Phongsri as a replacement for the recently closed Sunanthalai School, which she had previously also sponsored. Vajiravudh
Vajiravudh ( th, วชิราวุธ, , 1 January 188126 November 1925) was the sixth monarch of Siam under the Chakri dynasty as Rama VI. He ruled from 23 October 1910 until his death in 1925. King Vajiravudh is best known for his efforts to create and promote Siamese nationalism. His reign was characterized by Siam's movement further towards democracy and minimal participation in World War I. He had keen interests in Siamese history, archaeology, and literature, as well as economics, politics and world affairs, and founded the country's first university, Chulalongkorn University.
