Charlotte Pritt
Charlotte Jean Pritt (born January 2, 1949) is an American educator, businesswoman, and politician in the U.S. state of West Virginia. From 1984 to 1988, she served in the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing Kanawha County. From 1988 to 1992, she served in the West Virginia State Senate. She ran unsuccessfully for West Virginia governor in 1992, 1996 and 2016 and for West Virginia Secretary of State in 2000. Career Prior to entering politics, Pritt, the daughter of a coal miner, worked as a high school English teacher and a college professor. During the span of her educational career, she served as director of communications at Kanawha County Schools and director of the West Virginia Writing Project at the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. Charleston is the capital and most populous city of West Virginia. William Paul Cole III (born May 16, 1956) is an American businessman, politician and a former Republican member of the West Virginia Senate, representing the 6th district from 2013 to 2017. He was the President of the Senate (and thus first in line to the governorship) from 2015 to 2017. Cole also served in the West Virginia House of Delegates from May 28, 2010, to January 12, 2011, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Delegate John Shott. Belinda Biafore (born January 17, 1957) was as the chairwoman of the West Virginia Democratic Party for February 2015-June 2022. According to her colleagues, Biafore has been handing out Democratic campaign pamphlets since the third grade. She attended Fairmont Senior High School and Fairmont State College.
