Charlie Wade
Charlie Wade (born October 8, 1963) is the head coach of the University of Hawaii men's volleyball program. Coaching career Wade spent 11 years at the University of Hawai'i with the Rainbow Wahine volleyball staff, nine as an associate coach to Dave Shoji, help guiding Hawaii to 11 conference championships, 11 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances, six Regional Finals, and four Final Fours. During that time span, Hawaii held a conference record of 160-1, an overall record of 310-39 and an NCAA Championship match in 1996. Wade was also instrumental in producing eight All-Americans and 18 All-America awards, including two National Players of the Year. Wade departed Hawaii after the 2005 season to accept the head coaching position for the women's team at Pacific. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Volleyball
The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team represents the University of Hawaii at Manoa in National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA men's competition. The team currently competes in the Big West Conference after leaving its longtime home of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in 2018. The Rainbow Warriors are currently coached by Charlie Wade. Mike Wilton
Mike Wilton is an American volleyball coach. Career Wilton served in the United States Marine Corps after high school. He played basketball at Santa Barbara City College, surfed and worked in construction. In 1969 he played volleyball with Church College of Hawaii (now Brigham Young University Hawaii. In 1970 he became an assistant at Brigham Young University (BYU), Provo, Utah. In 1973 he became Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo's men volleyball coach. In 1974 Wilton also served as an assistant UC Santa Barbara men's volleyball, and 1976 BYU's men's volleyball coach. From 1978 to 1989 he was Cal Poly's women's volleyball head coach. In 1993 he took over as Warrior Volleyball as head coach. On April 11, 2009 Wilton announced that he was resigning from his Hawaii head coaching job. The 2021 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors volleyball team represented the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH) in the 2021 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The 2017 NCAA National Collegiate Volleyball Tournament was the 48th edition of the NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Championship, open to teams from both Division I and II. Mountain Pacific Sports Federation
The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) is a college athletic conference with members located mostly in the western United States, although it now has members as far east as Pennsylvania. The conference participates at the NCAA Division I level, primarily in Olympic sports that are not directly sponsored by a school's home conference (such as the Pac-12 and Big West, whose members all participate in MPSF competition in at least one of its sports). History The MPSF was founded in 1992 and specifically created to provide an outlet for competition in non-revenue-producing Olympic sports.
