Charlie Stobo (born 8 March 1995) is an Australian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season on 5 December 2016. He made his List A debut for Cricket Australia XI in the 2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup on 10 October 2017. After strong performances in Western Australia Premier Cricket, Stobo was called into the Western Australia squad for the 2020–21 Marsh One-Day Cup. 2016–17 Sheffield Shield Season
The 2016–17 Sheffield Shield season was the 115th season of the Sheffield Shield, the domestic first-class cricket competition in Australia. It started on 25 October 2016 and finished on 30 March 2017. There was a break between December and January for the Big Bash League. The first round of matches were played as day/night games in preparation for Australia's day/night Test match against Pakistan on 15 December 2016. A second day/night round of fixtures took place in round five of the tournament. Victoria qualified for the final after their 8 wicket win against Western Australia in round 9 of the competition. Victoria secured a home tie in the final, with an innings victory against Queensland in round 10. Cricket Australia XI Cricketers
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Benjamin Reginald McDermott (born 12 December 1994) is an Australian international cricketer. He represents the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League and Tasmania in Australian domestic cricket. He made his international debut for the Australian national cricket team in October 2018. Early life Born in Caboolture, Queensland, McDermott is the son of Australian Test cricketer Craig McDermott and is the younger brother of Alister McDermott. 2020–21 Marsh One-Day Cup
The 2021 Marsh One-Day Cup was the 52nd season of the official List A domestic cricket competition being played in Australia. On 26 June 2020, Cricket Australia confirmed all the squads for the 2020–21 domestic cricket season. Western Australia were the defending champions. On 16 December 2020, Cricket Australia confirmed the schedule of the tournament, with the final scheduled to be played on 30 April 2021, the latest finish to a domestic cricket season in Australia. On 10 February 2021, Cricket Australia announced the reduction of the tournament from 22 to 16 matches due to concerns over bubble fatigue, which resulted in a full schedule change. Western Australian Grade Cricket
WA Premier Cricket in Western Australia refers to the semi-professional cricket league played at a level below the first-class Western Warriors and other state teams. The competition is administered by the Western Australian Cricket Association. It is the premier club cricket competition in Western Australia and players vying for Western Warriors and national team selection are typically chosen from Premier Cricket competition clubs.
