Charlie Harrison (basketball)
Charles Dunn Harrison (August 17, 1949 – April 13, 2020) was an American college basketball coach who served as head coach at the University of New Mexico and East Carolina University. A graduate of Guilford College, Harrison began his coaching career as a graduate assistant for Bob Knight at Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball, Indiana. He then held assistant positions with Clemson Tigers men's basketball, Clemson, Oklahoma Sooners men's basketball, Oklahoma and the National Basketball Association's Buffalo Braves. In 1979, following a second stint at Oklahoma, Harrison was hired as an assistant at New Mexico Lobos men's basketball, New Mexico under head coach Norm Ellenberger. However, right before the team’s season opener Ellenberger was suspended and later fired following the revelation of an academic fraud scandal nicknamed “Lobogate.” Harrison was tapped as the new head coach and led the depleted team to a 6–22 record. Charlie Harrison (footballer, Born 1861)
Charles Edwin Harrison (born Q3 1861) was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Bolton Wanderers. Charlie Harrison' first club was his local club, Newton Heath, at that time a non-League club based on railway works. He signed in 1886 and left Newton Heath after two seasons and joined Bolton Wanderers. 1888-1889 Charlie Harrison, playing as goalkeeper, made his League and club debut on 8 September 1888, at Pike's Lane, the then home of Bolton Wanderers. The visitors were Derby County who won the match 6–3. Charlie Harrison appeared in 19 of the 22 League matches Bolton Wanderers played in season 1888–89. Charlie Harrison, as goalkeeper, was part of a Bolton Wanderers defence that kept one clean sheet and kept the opposition to one League goal in a match on four occasions. Charlie Harrison (Gaelic Footballer)
Charlie Harrison is an Irish sportsperson from County Sligo. He plays Gaelic football for his club St John's and at senior level for the Sligo county team. In 2010, he was given an All Star, a particularly unusual achievement for a Sligo player. Only three others had managed this before him ickey Kearins, Barnes Murphy and Eamon O'Hara Playing career Harrison made his senior inter-county debut in 2004 playing for London while he was a student at St Mary's College Strawberry Hill. He played against Galway in the Connacht Championship and also against Dublin in the first round of qualifiers. It was Harrison's only year to play for London. Poco
Poco was an American country rock band originally formed in 1968 after the demise of Buffalo Springfield. Guitarists Richie Furay and Jim Messina, former members of Buffalo Springfield, were joined by multi-instrumentalist Rusty Young, bassist Randy Meisner, and drummer George Grantham. Meisner quit the band whilst they were recording their first album, '' Pickin' Up the Pieces'', though his bass and backing vocal parts were kept in the final mix. He was replaced by Timothy B. Schmit in 1969, and Messina left in 1970 to be replaced by Paul Cotton. The line-up would change numerous times over the next several decades, with Rusty Young being the only constant member. A reunion of the founding members occurred in the late 1980s-early 1990s, and the band has continued in some form through 2021, though they retired from active touring in 2013, with Young citing health concerns as the primary cause of his retirement.
