Charlie Brown Jr. (basketball)
Charles Brown Jr. (born February 2, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Saint Joseph's Hawks. Early life and high school Brown was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and grew up in the Northeast section of the city. He initially attended Imhotep Institute Charter High School before transferring to George Washington High School before his junior year. Before his senior year he played for Philly Pride in the Amateur Athletic Union. As a senior, Brown averaged 18.4 points per game and was named the MVP Philadelphia Public League's B Division. He verbally committed to West Chester University but was offered and accepted a scholarship to Saint Joseph's University. Brown opted to prep for a fifth year at the St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut, where he helped the team to a 31–6 record and the National Prep Championship game. Saint Joseph's Hawks Men's Basketball
The Saint Joseph's Hawks men's basketball team represents Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I, and the team competes in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Saint Joseph's competes as well as part of the Philadelphia Big 5. Their home court is the Hagan Arena. The team is coached by Billy Lange, who was hired on March 28, 2019, after Phil Martelli was fired as head coach on March 19, 2019, after 24 seasons. Through the years they have produced a number of NBA players. Saint Joseph's primary rivalry is with the Villanova Wildcats. 2022–23 NBA G League Season
The 2022–23 NBA G League season is the 22nd season of the NBA G League, the minor league basketball league of the National Basketball Association (NBA). For the second consecutive season, the schedule will be split into two parts: the 18-game Showcase Cup which began on November 4, 2022, followed by a 32-game regular season which tips off on December 27. The NBA G League Finals will happen in April 2023. Structure The Showcase Cup began on November 4, 2022, and it will end with a single-elimination tournament to crown a champion at the G League's Winter Showcase from December 19 to 22. During the Showcase Cup, teams are separated into four regional pods and play 16 games against one another in each respective NBA G League markets. The league traces its origin to 1901, with the formation of the Philadelphia Interscholastic League, a conference encompassing all the city's high schools, public and private.
