Charlie "Choo Choo" Brown (born April 5, 1958 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American former professional boxer who was the IBF Lightweight champion of the world. Pro career Known as "Choo-Choo" Brown, Brown turned pro in 1979 and captured the vacant newly created IBF lightweight title with a decision win over Melvin Paul in 1984. Charles Brown (born February 28, 1939) is a former amateur boxer from the United States who won the bronze medal in the Featherweight (−57 kg) division at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. At the Pan American Games he won a silver medal in 1959 and a bronze medal in 1963.
