Charlie Brittain
Richard Charles Brittain (7 June 1887 – 31 July 1949) was an English professional footballer who played for Portsmouth, Northampton Town, Tottenham Hotspur and Cardiff City. Football career Brittain began his career at Portsmouth before moving to Northampton Town in 1906. He thrived under the management of Herbert Chapman and was chosen to represent a Southern Football League XI on five occasions. In 1911 he signed for Football League side Tottenham Hotspur in an exchange deal involving Walter Tull. Brittain played for 42 matches for the Lilywhites in all competitions between 1911 and 1913 However, he fell behind Fred Webster and Tom Collins and eventually grew frustrated after being over looked further for Bill Cartwright when a first team place became available through injury and handed in a transfer request in November 1913. Frederick Joseph Webster (3 April 1887 – 14 September 1938) was an English professional footballer who played for Crown & Victoria (Sheffield), Gainsborough Trinity, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford. Football career Webster played for Non league team Crown & Victoria (Sheffield) before joining Gainsborough Trinity in 1907, he played in 89 matches for the club. The FAW Welsh Cup ( cy, Cwpan Cymdeithas Pêl-droed Cymru), currently known as the JD Welsh Cup for sponsorship reasons, is a knock-out football competition contested annually by teams in the Welsh football league system. William Cartwright (24 June 1884 in Burton upon Trent – ?) was a professional footballer who played for Gainsborough Trinity, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea Town and Gillingham. Football career Cartwright began his career at Gainsborough Trinity. He featured in 59 matches and scored four goals between 1906 and 1907, before joining Chelsea. Tom Collins (footballer)
Thomas Collins (16 April 1882 – 30 July 1929) was a Scottish footballer who played for Heart of Midlothian, Bathgate, East Fife and Tottenham Hotspur. The full back transferred to Tottenham from Hearts (where he had featured on the losing side in the 1907 Scottish Cup Final) in 1910 for a fee of £825. Collins made a total of 122 appearances in all competitions for ''Spurs'' between 1910 and 1915 and scored a solitary goal for the club. Walter Daniel John Tull (28 April 1888 – 25 March 1918) was an English professional footballer and British Army officer of Afro-Caribbean descent. He played as an inside forward and half back for Clapton, Tottenham Hotspur and Northampton Town and was the third person of mixed heritage to play in the top division of the Football League after Arthur Wharton and Willie Clarke. He was also the first player of African descent to be signed for Rangers in 1917 while stationed in Scotland. During the First World War, Tull served in the Middlesex Regiment, including in the two Footballers' Battalions. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant on 30 May 1917 and killed in action on 25 March 1918.
