Charley Hughlett
Robert Charles Hughlett (born May 16, 1990) is an American football long snapper for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCF. Early years Hughlett attended Hillsborough High School in Tampa, Florida, where he lettered all four years at tight end and center. He graduated in the Class of 2008. As a junior, he was named second-team All-conference. As a senior, he received first-team All-conference honors. During his high school career, the Terriers earned regional champion honors in 2004 as well as district titles in 2005 and 2006. Hughlett also earned varsity letters in track and wrestling. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. If the punt goes uncaught, it is the snapper's responsibility to make sure the ball does not enter the end zone or bounce backward resulting in loss of yards. Phil Dawson
Philip Drury Dawson (born January 23, 1975) is a former American football placekicker. He played for the Cleveland Browns from 1999 to 2012 and holds their franchise record for most field goals made, passing Hall of Famer Lou Groza in 2010. He played college football at Texas. He also played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2013-2016, and the Arizona Cardinals in 2017 and 2018. Joseph Hayden Thomas (born December 4, 1984) is an American former football offensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 11 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Christian Alexander Yount (born July 8, 1988) is an American football long snapper who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2011 and has also played for the Cleveland Browns. Yount played college football for the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. The 2012 NFL draft was the 77th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible American football players for their rosters.
