Charley Brewer (quarterback)
Charles Brewer is a former American football player. He was the starting quarterback of the Texas Longhorns from 1953–1954. He is the father half of the only father-son combination to be starting quarterbacks at Texas. His son Robert, was the starting quarterback for the Longhorns during the 1981 and 1982 season. Early life A native of Lubbock, Brewer prepped at Lubbock High School where he won All-District, All-State and All-American honors. He quarterbacked the Lubbock Westerners to a 13–0 season and the 4A state championship in 1951. In 1951, he was named the Outstanding High School Football Player in Texas and then played in numerous all-star games including the Oil Bowl, the Greenbelt Bowl and the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest college football coaches of all time, and best known as the head coach of the University of Alabama football team. Liberty Flames Football
The Liberty Flames football program represents Liberty University, a private Christian university located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in college football. The Flames compete in NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) as an independent. The program, which previously competed in Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), announced it would start a transition to the top level of NCAA football in July 2017. The Utah Utes football program is a Power 5 Conference college football team that competes in the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12) of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of NCAA Division I and represents the University of Utah. Charlie Brewer (born November 26, 1998) is an American football quarterback who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He previously played for the Baylor Bears, Utah Utes and the Liberty Flames. Early life and high school Brewer grew up in Austin, Texas and attended Lake Travis High School. Michael Brewer (born November 13, 1992) is a former American football quarterback. He played college football at Virginia Tech Hokies football, Virginia Tech and was their starting quarterback from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that he played at Texas Tech University, Texas Tech from 2011 to 2013. College career Texas Tech Brewer was redshirted as a freshman in 2011.
