Charles Watson Stadium
Charles Watson Stadium was a baseball stadium located on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. It has since been replaced with Springs Brooks Stadium. Vrooman Field is still the home field of the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers baseball team. History Stadium capacity was expanded to nearly 2,200 during the 2008 season, with the addition of a right field deck dubbed "The Rooster's Nest". With the addition of temporary seating down the base lines, the stadium played host to an NCAA Regional for the first time in 2008. In 2007, the Chanticleers hosted an NCAA Regional for the first time, but due to the limited seating capacity at Charles Watson Stadium, the event was hosted at nearby BB&T Coastal Field. BB&T Coastal Field
Pelicans Ballpark (previously known as Coastal Federal Field, BB&T Coastal Field, and TicketReturn.com Field) is located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and is the home field of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, a minor league affiliate of the Chicago Cubs in the Carolina League. The stadium, located just off Highway 17 in Myrtle Beach, opened in 1999. It holds up to 6,599 people. Since its opening, it has been the finish point of the annual Myrtle Beach Marathon, held annually in March. The 2007 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was held from June 1 to 24, . Sixty-four NCAA Division I college baseball teams advanced to the post season tournament after having played through a regular season, and for some, a conference tournament. The 2007 tournament culminated with 8 teams advancing to the College World Series at historic Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska, on June 15. 2008 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament
The 2008 NCAA Division I baseball tournament was held from May 30 through June 25, 2008 and was part of the 2008 NCAA Division I baseball season. The 64 NCAA Division I college baseball teams were selected out of an eligible 286 teams on May 26, 2008. Thirty teams were awarded an automatic bid as champions of their conference, and 34 teams were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.
