Charles Stourton, 19th Baron Stourton (1802–1872) was the son of William Stourton, 18th Baron Stourton and Catherine Weld, daughter of Thomas Weld. He succeeded to the title on his father's death in 1846. The nineteenth Baron married Mary Lucy Clifford, daughter of Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Eleanor Mary Arundell, daughter of Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour, in 1825. William Stourton, 18th Baron Stourton
William Stourton, 18th Baron Stourton (1776–1846) was a Roman Catholic English peer. He is chiefly remembered for the private memoirs of his relative Maria Fitzherbert, the secret wife of King George IV, which she dictated to him, and which formed the basis for her first biography, published by his brother Charles Langdale in 1856.Leslie, Anita ''Mrs Fitzherbert'' London Hutchinsons 1960, p. 13. Thomas Bartholomew Weld (1750–1810), known as Thomas Weld of Lulworth Castle, was a member of the English Catholic gentry, landowner, philanthropist and bibliophile. Baron Clifford of Chudleigh, of Chudleigh in the County of Devon, is a title in the Peerage of England. It was created in 1672 for Thomas Clifford. The title was created as "Clifford of Chudleigh" rather than simply "Clifford" to differentiate it from several other Clifford Baronies previously created for members of this ancient family, including the Barony of de Clifford (1299), which is extant but now held by a branch line of the Russell family, having inherited through several female lines. Henry Arundell, 8th Baron Arundell of Wardour (31 March 1740 – 4 December 1808) was a British nobleman in the 18th century. He married Mary Christina Conquest, in 1763. Biography Henry Arundell was born on 31 March 1740, to Henry Arundell and Mary Bellings-Arundell. He married Mary Christina Conquest, the daughter of Benedict Conquest of Irnham Hall and Mary Ursula Markham, on 31 May 1763. They had a London home in Grosvenor Square. They had two daughters: Mary Christina (1764–1805), who married James Everard Arundell, 9th Baron Arundell of Wardour, and Eleanor Mary (1766–1835), who married Charles Clifford, 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh. An avid collector of art, he accumulated immense debts in building and furnishing New Wardour Castle, Wiltshire, designed in the Palladian style by Giacomo Quarenghi. Alfred Joseph Stourton, 20th Baron Stourton, 24th Baron Segrave, 23rd Baron Mowbray (28 February 1829 – 18 April 1893) was the son of the nineteenth Baron Stourton and Mary Lucy Clifford, daughter of the 6th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and his wife Eleanor Mary Arundell. By virtue of being descended from a co-heiress of the baronies of Mowbray and Segrave, Alfred had these baronies called out of abeyance in 1878. He married Mary Margaret Corbally in 1865. She was the only child of the Irish politician Matthew Corbally MP of Corbalton Hall, County Meath and the Hon. Matilda Margaret Preston, daughter of the 12th Viscount Gormanston. Patrick Bellew, 1st Baron Bellew (29 January 1798 – 10 December 1866), known as Sir Patrick Bellew, 7th Baronet, from 1827 to 1848, was an Irish Whig politician. Early life Born in London, he was born as the second son of Sir Edward Bellew, 6th Baronet (1735-1795), and his wife Mary Anne Strange (1760-1837), daughter of Richard Strange of Rockwell Castle. He succeeded his father as baronet in 1827. Career In 1831, he was elected to the House of Commons for County Louth, a seat he held until 1832. He was reelected for the constituency in 1834, representing it for the next three years. Bellew served as high sheriff of County Louth in 1831 and was then appointed lord lieutenant of Louth until his death in 1866. He was also commissioner of national education in Ireland from 1839 to 1866 and a commissioner of charitable donations and bequests for Ireland from 1844 to 1857. Sir Robert George Throckmorton, 8th Baronet (5 December 1800 – 28 June 1862) was an English Whig and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1831 to 1835. Throckmorton was the son of William Throckmorton and his wife Frances Gifford, daughter of Thomas Gifford, 22nd of Chillington. The Throckmortons were a prominent Roman Catholic family, who continued to hear mass at the family home Coughton Court, Alcester, Warwickshire. In 1826 the family estate at Molland in Devon devolved to Throckmorton when his uncle succeeded to the baronetcy. The Roman Catholic Relief Act 1829 allowed Catholics to hold national office for the first time in almost three hundred years. Baron Stourton is a title in the Peerage of England, It was created by patent in 1448 for John Stourton. In 1878, the ancient barony of Mowbray was called out of abeyance in favour of the twentieth Baron Stourton. About two weeks later, the barony of Segrave was also called out of abeyance in his favour. Thereafter, the three baronies remained united. The formal title is Baron Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton.
