Charles Rollins
Charles H. Rollins (December 2, 1832 - August 23, 1919) was a carpenter, shoemaker, and politician in Florida. He served as a Leon County Commissioner from 1874-1877 and in the Florida House of Representatives for Leon County in 1883. The Rollins House at 5456 Rollins Pointe in Tallahassee is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Florida Archives have a black and white negative of him. He was buried at the Old City Cemetery in Tallahassee. Florida House Of Representatives
The Florida House of Representatives is the lower house of the Florida Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Florida, the Florida Senate being the upper house. Article III, Section 1 of the Constitution of Florida, adopted in 1968, defines the role of the Legislature and how it is to be constituted. The House is composed of 120 members, each elected from a single-member district with a population of approximately 180,000 residents. Leon County is a county in the Panhandle of the U.S. state of Florida. It was named after the Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de León. As of the 2020 census, the population was 292,198. Old City Cemetery (Tallahassee, Florida)
Old City Cemetery is a historic site in Tallahassee, Florida, the state capital. It was established in 1829 by the Territorial Legislative Council, and was acquired by the city in 1840. Burials for white people were segregated with separate areas and books for "colored" people. Cast iron fences surround the property. A historical marker commemorates its history.
