Charles Ramsey (basketball)
Charles Edward Ramsey (born March 25, 1961) is an American athlete and college basketball coach. He is the former head men's basketball coach at Eastern Michigan University. Early life Ramsey was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan and graduated from Ypsilanti High School in 1979, where he played on the baseball, basketball and football teams. He played collegiately for Fisk University from 1979 to 1981, and was named All-American. In 1992, Ramsey graduated from Eastern Michigan University. Ramsey was inducted into the Ypsilanti High School Athletic Hall of Fame where he was a 3 sport athlete in Football, Basketball, and Baseball. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, initiated at Delta Nu chapter. Career He has been an assistant basketball coach at the University of California, Drake University, Tennessee State and the University of Michigan. Ypsilanti, Michigan
Ypsilanti (), commonly shortened to Ypsi, is a city in Washtenaw County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census, the city's population was 20,648. The city is bounded to the north by Superior Township and on the west, south, and east by Ypsilanti Township. Ypsilanti is the historic site of Michigan State Normal School, now Eastern Michigan University, the fourth normal school established in the United States, and the historical campus of Cleary Business College, now Cleary University. It is also the location of the first Domino's Pizza. Ben Braun
Benjamin Abraham Braun (born November 25, 1953) is an American former men's college basketball coach and college basketball analyst. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Siena Heights University (1977–1985), Eastern Michigan University (1986–1996), the University of California, Berkeley (1996–2008), and Rice University (2008–2014), compiling a career coaching record of 615–517. He won the most games (185) of any head coach history of the Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball program and was named Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year three times. As the head coach of the California Golden Bears, he won the Pac-10 Coach of the Year and had a 219–154 record (.587). Braun currently is a studio and game basketball analyst for the Pac-12 Network. The 2008–09 Mid-American Conference season is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I conference. The Mid-American Conference (MAC) sponsors 23 sports (11 men's and 12 women's).
