Charles McCrea
Charles McCrea (December 27, 1877 – October 30, 1952) was a Canadians, Canadian politician, who represented the electoral district (Canada), electoral district of Sudbury (provincial electoral district), Sudbury in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1911 to 1934. He was a member of the Conservative Party of Ontario, Conservative Party. Biography Charles McCrea was born in Springtown, Ontario on December 27, 1877. As a lawyer and town councillor in Sudbury, he first won a seat in the legislature in the 1911 Ontario general election, 1911 election. 1911 Ontario General Election
The 1911 Ontario general election was the 13th general election held in the Province of Ontario, Canada. It was held on December 11, 1911, to elect the 106 Members of the 13th Legislative Assembly of Ontario (titled as Members of the Provincial Parliament or M.P.P.). The Ontario Conservative Party, led by Sir James P. Whitney, was elected for a third consecutive term in government, with a slight reduced majority in the Legislature. The Ontario Liberal Party, led by Newton Rowell, added three members to its caucus. The legislature's sole Labour MLA, Allan Studholme of Hamilton East, retained his seat. George Stewart Henry
George Stewart Henry (July 16, 1871 – September 2, 1958) was a farmer, businessman and politician in Ontario, Canada. He served as the tenth premier of Ontario from 1930 to 1934. He had acted as minister of highways while Ontario greatly expanded its highway system. Henry continued the expansion as premier, but his party did not provide relief during the Great Depression and lost the 1934 election. Background Henry was born in Township of King, York County, Ontario, the son of William and Louisa Henry. He attended Upper Canada College for high school and moved on to the University of Toronto, where he received a Bachelor of Arts. He earned his LL.B. at Osgoode Hall Law School. Howard Ferguson
George Howard Ferguson, PC (June 18, 1870 – February 21, 1946) was the ninth premier of Ontario, from 1923 to 1930. He was a Conservative member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1905 to 1930 who represented the eastern provincial riding of Grenville. Reading law was the method used in common law countries, particularly the United States, for people to prepare for and enter the legal profession before the advent of law schools. Sudbury, officially the City of Greater Sudbury is the largest city in Northern Ontario by population, with a population of 166,004 at the 2021 Canadian Census.
