Charles Hamilton Walsh
Charles Hamilton Walsh (1820 – 8 November 1874) was an Irish-born Australian politician. He was born at Ballinamore in County Leitrim to merchant William Walsh and Sarah Matchett. Around 1844 he married Anne Bole, with whom he had six children. He migrated to New South Wales around 1848 and settled as a solicitor at Goulburn, where he acquired extensive property and became the first mayor in 1859. In 1860 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for Goulburn, but he resigned in 1861. Ballinamore
Ballinamore (, meaning "mouth of the big ford") is a small town in County Leitrim, Ireland. Etymology , corrupted ''Bellanamore'', means "town at the mouth of the big ford", so named because it was a main crossing (ford) of the Yellow River. The gaels called the baile Átha na Chuirre ("homestead of ford of the afflictions") because a hospital-house stood near the bridge in the 13th century. Location Ballinamore is in south county Leitrim, from County Fermanagh, and built on the 'Yellow River'. The R202 regional road intersects the R199 and R204 roads here. County Leitrim ( ; gle, Contae Liatroma) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Connacht and is part of the Northern and Western Region. It is named after the village of Leitrim. William Roberts (1821 – 1 July 1900) was an Australian politician. He was born in Sydney to William Roberts and Susannah Jane Moss. On 2 April 1842 he married Louisa Wilhelmina Kemp, with whom he had nine children. A solicitor from 1845, he practised in Sydney from 1851 and in Goulburn from 1858.
