Charles Croucher
Charles Croucher is an Australian journalist. He is currently the Nine Network's chief political editor, a position he was appointed to in October 2022. Early life and career He grew up in Branxton, New South Wales. He attended Hunter Valley Grammar School, graduating in 2005. He studied a Bachelor of Sport Studies/Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) double degree at Charles Sturt University, where he graduated in 2009. While he was at university, he found employment with Bathurst radio stations 2BS and B-Rock where he worked as a news presenter, before becoming the host of a weekend breakfast show and then the presenter of the weekday morning program. In 2009, Croucher was a finalist in the "Best News Presenter (Country)" category at the Australian Commercial Radio Awards but lost to Lois Chislett from 3YB in Warrnambool, Victoria. Charles Sturt University is an Australian multi-campus public university located in New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory and Victoria. ''RN Breakfast'', previously ''Radio National Breakfast'' and sometimes shortened to ''Breakfast'', is a national early morning news program in Australia, broadcast since 2005. Laurie Oakes (born 14 August 1943 in Newcastle, New South Wales) is an Australian retired journalist. He worked in the Canberra Press Gallery from 1969 to 2017, covering the Parliament of Australia and federal elections for print, radio, and television. Early career Oakes was born in Newcastle, New South Wales, the son of Wes and Hazel Oakes. His father worked for BHP as an accountant. Angus Taylor (born 30 September 1966) is an Australian Liberal politician who became the shadow Treasurer after the 2022 election which saw the Australian Labor Party take office. A question time in a parliament occurs when members of the parliament ask questions of government ministers (including the prime minister), which they are obliged to answer. It usually occurs daily while parliament is sitting, though it can be cancelled in exceptional circumstances. Question time originated in the Westminster system of the United Kingdom, and occurs in other countries, mostly Commonwealth countries, who use the system.
