Charles Anderson-Pelham, 3rd Earl Of Yarborough
Charles Anderson-Pelham, 3rd Earl of Yarborough (14 January 1835 – 6 February 1875), known as Lord Worsley from 1846 to 1852, was a British peer. Yarborough was the son of Charles Anderson-Pelham, 2nd Earl of Yarborough, and his wife Maria Adelaide (née Maude). He was elected to the House of Commons for Great Grimsby in 1857, a seat he held until 1862, when he succeeded his father in the earldom. Lord Yarborough married Lady Victoria Alexandrina, daughter of William Hare, 2nd Earl of Listowel, in 1858. He died in February 1875, aged only 40, and was succeeded in his titles by his fifteen-year-old son Charles. Lady Yarborough later married John Maunsell Richardson. William Annesley, 4th Earl Annesley
William Richard Annesley, 4th Earl Annesley (21 February 1830 – 10 August 1874), styled Viscount Glerawley until 1838, was an Irish-born British Conservative politician. Background Born at Rutland Square (now Parnell Square), Dublin, Annesley was the eldest son of William Annesley, 3rd Earl Annesley, by his second wife Priscilla Cecilia, daughter of Hugh Moore. He was educated at the University of Cambridge. Political career Annesley succeeded in the earldom in August 1838 on the death of his father. As this was a title in the Peerage of Ireland it did not entitle him to a seat in the House of Lords. He was instead elected to the House of Commons for Great Grimsby in the 1852 general election, a seat he held until 1857. In 1867 he was elected an Irish Representative Peer, which he remained until his death. Earl of Yarborough is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1837 for Charles Anderson-Pelham, 2nd Baron Yarborough. History The Anderson-Pelham family descends from Francis Anderson of Manby, Lincolnshire. He married Mary, daughter of Charles Pelham of Brocklesby, Lincolnshire. Their grandson Charles Anderson assumed the additional surname of Pelham and represented Beverley and Lincolnshire in the House of Commons. In 1794 he was created Baron Yarborough, of Yarborough in the County of Lincoln, in the Peerage of Great Britain. He was succeeded by his son, the second Baron. He sat as Member of Parliament for Great Grimsby and for Lincolnshire. John Chapman (1810–1877)
John Chapman JP DL (1810 – 18 July 1877) was a British Conservative Party politician who served for two three-year terms as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Great Grimsby. Having unsuccessfully contested the 1859 general election in Salisbury,Craig, p. 266 he was elected at a by-election in February 1862 as the MP for Great Grimsby. His majority was only 12 votes out of 1004, and an election petition was lodged against his victory, but dismissed; however he was defeated at the 1865 general election, when he also stood unsuccessfully in Salisbury. He did not contest either seat in 1868, but at the 1874 general election he stood only in Great Grimsby, where he regained the seat. However, he died in office three years later, aged 67. He was a Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire and served as High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1855, and was chairman and later director of the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway, and a director of the Bridgwater Navigation Company.
