Early years and education Chepkwony was born and brought up in Kangeta village of Meru county. She had her primary education at Kaongo ka Mau Primary School and her secondary education at Mukinduri Girls High School. She furthered at Jomo Kenyata University of Agriculture and Technology where she graduated with a certificate in County Governance. Meru County
Meru County is one of the 47 counties of Kenya, located in the former Eastern Province. The county lies between 0° 6′ North and 0° 1′ South and between latitudes 37° West and 38° East. The Kenya Methodist University (KeMU) is a chartered private university founded by the Methodist Church in Kenya.
