The Greek A2 Basket League ( el, Ελληνική Α2 Μπάσκετ Λιγκ, link=no), is a professional basketball league in Greece. It is the 2nd-tier level of pro competition, among clubs in the country. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece. It is run by HEBA ( el, ΕΣΑΚΕ, link=no), under the legal authority of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). It is the highest-tier level of the Greek league system. The GBL plays under FIBA rules and currently consists of 13 teams, with the lowest-placed team relegated to the A2 Basket League and replaced by the winner of the play-offs of that tier. Ioannis "Giannis" Agravanis (Greek: Ιωάννης "Γιάννης" Αγραβάνης; born November 13, 1998) is a Greek professional basketball player for Karditsa of the Greek Basket League. At a height of 1.98 m (6 ft 6 in) tall, he plays at the small forward position. Youth career Agravanis played from a young age with the youth teams of Doukas, before he started his pro career. Professional career Agravanis began his pro career in the 2016–17 season, with the Greek 2nd Division club Doukas. On August 9, 2017, Agravanis moved to AEK Athens of the top-tier level Greek League. Michalis Kousis
Michalis Koussis (Greek: Μιχάλης Κούσης; 10 October 1953 – 24 May 2005) was a Greek Olympian Marathon and long-distance runner. Koussis was born in 1953 in Agrinio in Aetolia-Acarnania, western Greece. He was an athlete of the Agrinio Gymnast Company (GEA) and a member of the Greece national team from 1971 to 1987. He participated in the Olympic Games in 1976 and in 1984 and achieved many Panhellenic and Balkan records in marathon running. He finished fourth in the 1980 Boston Marathon. His greatest moment was the gold medal which he won in 1979, during the Mediterranean Games, in Split, in present-day Croatia, where he finished just slightly away from the world record.
