Shaun Chapas (born May 2, 1988) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions. He played college football at the University of Georgia. Early years Chapas attended Bolles School, where he was named the starter at fullback as a freshman. As a junior, he had 9 rushing touchdowns on 38 carries and 2 receiving touchdowns on 9 catches, while helping his team win the Class AA state title. As a senior, he missed the entire season after tearing his ACL. He was still rated the eighth-best fullback in the nation and fifth on the Florida Top-100 Rivals.com team. College career Chapas accepted a football scholarship from the University of Georgia, where he was redshirted to recover from his previous injury. Bolles School
The Bolles School is an American private college preparatory day and boarding school in Jacksonville, Florida. It has a lower school (including pre-kindergarten), a middle school, and a high school, spread across four campuses around the Jacksonville area, and enrolls about 1,800 students a year. The school was founded in 1933 as an all-boys military academy. It dropped its military focus in 1962 and became coeducational in 1971. Fullback (American Football)
A fullback (FB) is a position in the offensive backfield in gridiron football, and is one of the two running back positions along with the halfback. Fullbacks are typically larger than halfbacks and in most offensive schemes the fullback's duties are split among power running, pass catching, and blocking for both the quarterback and the other running back. Many great runners in the history of American football have been fullbacks, including Jim Brown, Marion Motley, Bronko Nagurski, Jim Taylor, Franco Harris, Larry Csonka, John Riggins, Christian Okoye, and Levi Jackson. Patrick Michael Edwards (born October 25, 1988) is a former wide receiver in American football. Early years Edwards was born in Temple, Texas, to Patrick Dixon and Patricia Edwards. He was raised in Hearne, Texas, where he attended Hearne High School. There, he played baseball, basketball, and football and competed in track and field. Placido Anthony Fiammetta (born August 22, 1986) is a former American football fullback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots and Chicago Bears. In sports, the practice squad, also called the taxi squad or practice roster, is a group of players signed by a team but not part of their main roster. Frequently used in gridiron football, they serve as extra players during the team's practices, often as part of the scout team by emulating an upcoming opponent's play style. Because the players on the practice squad are familiar with the team's plays and formations, the practice squad serves as a way to develop inexperienced players for promotion to the main roster. This is particularly important for professional gridiron football teams, which do not have formal minor league farm team affiliates to train players.
