Chaos Of The Senses
Chaos of the Senses is a novel by the novelist, Ahlam Mostaghanmi published in 1997 by Hachette Antoine publishing house. The novel was translated by Nancy Roberts. Summary The story starts with a narration about a man with a weird and chaotic philosophy who meets a kind of weak woman. The story continues like this for a few pages until the writer interferes with the writing. The writer later discovers a surprising match between her narration and reality, as she found out that the cinema where she conducted the interview is there in reality and it shows the same film at the same time. The writer finds herself intrigued to attend the film and finds the person who is the hero of the film. Ahlam Mosteghanemi
Ahlem Mosteghanemi ( ar, أحلام مستغانمي), alternatively written Ahlam Mosteghanemi (born 1953) is an Algerian writer who has been called "''probably the world's best-known Arabophone woman novelist''". She was the first Algerian woman to publish fiction in Arabic. Biography Birth in exile and return to Algeria Ahlem was born in Tunis, Tunisia. She is the daughter of a militant political activist who was forced into exile during the Algerian liberation war. In the wake of independence, her family moved back to Algeria, where her father, an intellectual and a humanitarian, occupied high positions in the first Algerian government. Nancy Roberts (née MacRae Correll, 1924 – July 1, 2008) was an American writer and storyteller who was often described as the "First Lady of American Folklore." A best selling author, she presented storytelling programs and lectures on creative writing at clubs, public libraries, schools, and universities. The author of over two dozen books, Roberts began writing ghost stories for the ''Charlotte Observer''. Carl Sandburg encouraged her to publish her stories as a book. ''Memory in the Flesh'' is a novel written by the Algerian writer Ahlam Mostaghanmi and published in Beirut in 1993. It won the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature for the year 1998. The Algerian Civil War ( ar, rtl=yes, الْحَرْبُ الْأَهْلِيَّةُ الجَزَائِرِيَّةُ, al-Ḥarb al-ʾAhlīyah al-Jazāʾirīyah) was a civil war in Algeria fought between the Algerian government and various Islamist rebel groups from 26 December 1991 (following a coup negating an Islamist electoral victory) to 8 February 2002.
