Chantelle Eberle
Chantelle Dawn Eberle (born September 17, 1981 in Regina, Saskatchewan as Chantelle Seiferling) is a Canadian curler. Background Eberle was one of the top junior curlers in Saskatchewan during her junior career. In 2001, she won her lone provincial junior title, playing second for Stefanie Lawton (Miller). The team, which also included Stefanie's sister Marliese at third, and Chelsey Matson (Bell) at lead went undefeated at the 2001 Canadian Junior Curling Championships after the round robin. However, the team went up against another strong team in Prince Edward Island's Suzanne Birt (Gaudet). P.E.I beat the Saskatchewan four-some 5-3. Since her junior career, Eberle has been one of the top skips in Saskatchewan. She played in her first women's provincial in 2003, when her rink placed 4th in the province. The Players' Championship is one of the final events on the World Curling Tour (WCT) and is a part of the Grand Slam of Curling. From 2016 to 2019, it was the penultimate slam of the curling season, and the last of the four "majors". The event was one of the original Grand Slam events when they were instituted in the 2001–02 season for men and for the 2006–07 season for women. The Canadian Open, is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament. It is one of the seven Grand Slams and four "majors" on the World Curling Tour, and the only one to use a triple knockout format. The Colonial Square Ladies Classic is an annual women's curling tournament held at the Nutana Curling Club in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The tournament has run since 1983 and is part of the Women's World Curling Tour. From 2012 to 2014, the Colonial Square Classic was a Grand Slam event on the women's World Curling Tour. The Masters is a Grand Slam event on the men's and women's World Curling Tour. It is the second Grand Slam event and first major on the women's and men's tour. The event is an amalgamation of the men's World Cup of Curling and the women's Sun Life Classic. There was also a men's Sun Life Classic, which has been discontinued. Autumn Gold Curling Classic
The Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic is an annual women's World Curling Tour event held at the Calgary Curling Club in Calgary, Alberta. It was the first Grand Slam event of the season from 2006 to 2014, but is no longer considered one of the official Grand Slams. The first Autumn Gold Classic was held in 1978, and at the time only had a total purse of $10,500, with the winning team receiving $4,000. At the time, it had the largest purse for a women's curling tournament in Canada. Its main sponsor in 1978 was JoAnne's Fashions. 2012 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship
The 2012 World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship was held at the Milli Piyango Curling Arena in Erzurum, Turkey from April 23 to 29. Erzurum previously hosted the 2011 Winter Universiade, during which the Milli Piyango Curling Arena was used for the curling competition. Among the previous hosts of the World Mixed Doubles Curling Championships, Turkey is the nation with the least experience in curling; its curling federation joined the World Curling Federation in 2009. For the first time since 2009, the event was not held in conjunction with the same year's World Senior Championships.
