Channel 24 ( he, ערוץ 24), formally known as Music 24 ( he, מוזיקה 24), is an Israeli free-to-air television channel owned by Telad, which was launched on July 20, 2003 and broadcasts music videos by Israeli musicians. Apart from music videos, the channel has different music-related shows, including interviews with musicians, live performances, music-oriented talk shows and programs which are dedicated to a specific genre of music. The channel's editor-in-chief, Yoav Kutner, has been one of the most influential figures in the Israeli rock scene. For more than 20 years he has been instrumental in introducing new singers, both Israeli and foreign, in his radio shows (which he quit in order to head the TV channel) to generations of Israeli music fans. Music 24 has struggled through monetary and ratings problems since its inception. Telad
Telad is an Israeli production company. The company is mostly known for being one of the three concessionaires whom ran the Israeli commercial television channel Channel 2 between the years 1993–2005. History The company was founded in the 1960s as a small production company in Jerusalem named "Idan" and provided services to the Israeli channel 1 and to TV stations worldwide. "Idan" was reestablished in 1973 into "Telad" as part of a joint establishment with the Israeli investment firm Israel Discount Bank. In the early 1990s "Telad" upgraded its position after winning the bid to operate the newly established Channel 2 and was the first of the three concessionaires to broadcast the first transmissions on the opening day of channel 2 on 4 November 1993. Yoav Kutner
Yoav Kutner ( he, יואב קוטנר; born 18 May 1954) is an Israeli music editor, TV and radio presenter, who has significantly promoted performers ranging from Mashina to Radiohead. Life Yoav Kutner was born in Jerusalem, Israel on May 18, 1954. At the age of seventeen, while on vacation in Switzerland he was involved in an accident while climbing a mountain. This resulted in a significant loss of his past memories. Later in life he married and had three children. Yoav Kutner lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel.
