José De Jesús Méndez Vargas
José de Jesús Méndez Vargas (born 28 February 1974), commonly referred to by his alias El Chango ("The Ape"), is a Mexican drug lord and former leader of the now disbanded La Familia drug cartel, headquartered in the state of Michoacán. Méndez took control of the cartel after its former leader, Nazario Moreno, was allegedly killed in a shootout with Mexican Federal Police on December 9, 2010. His protection was the responsibility of twelve gunmen he called the "Twelve Apostles". His leadership, however, was disputed by Servando Gómez Martínez and Enrique Plancarte Solís who left the organization and formed the Knights Templar. He be arrested on June 21, 2011. Horacio ''"''Chango''"'' Spasiuk (born September 23, 1968 in Apóstoles, Misiones) is an Argentine chamamé musician and accordion player. Spasiuk's grandparents are Ukrainian, and he had a strong Polka music influence from his early days. Eastern European musical influences were also already present in the chamamé music of the region. He had his first accordion at age 12, which he played at parties, weddings and other events with his father and uncle. Early years A musical-talent TV show that travelled around small towns opened the door for Spasiuk to perform at provincial festivals. When he finished high school, he went to Posadas, the capital of Misiones, to study anthropology, but soon after he dropped out. Juan Carlos Cárdenas
Juan Carlos Cárdenas (25 July 1945 – 30 March 2022) was an Argentine football player and coach. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Mexico as well as playing for the Argentina national team. He was known by the nickname "El Chango" which was a common name for people from the north of Argentina. Club career Cárdenas was spotted in 1962 by Racing Club de Avellaneda playing as a teenager for Unión Santiago. He spent one year on loan in the Argentine 2nd Division with Nueva Chicago before returning to Racing Club in 1964. He was part of the championship winning team of 1966. In 1967, he helped the club to win the Copa Libertadores and later that year he scored the decisive goal against Celtic in the Copa Intercontinental to make Racing Club the first Argentine club to become club champions of the world. Héctor Icazuriaga
Héctor Icazuriaga (born 9 January 1955) is the former Secretary of Intelligence of Argentina who served from 2004 until 2014. Icazuriaga was born in Chivilcoy, Buenos Aires Province to Basque Argentine parents (his Basque descent inspired his nickname, ''El vasco'', though he is also known as ''Pancho'' and ''El Chango''). He enrolled at the University of La Plata, and earned a ''juris doctor''; he later married and had two children. He relocated to Santa Cruz Province, where he was elected to the Provincial Legislature on the Justicialist Party ticket. Icazuriaga was elected vice president of the legislature by his peers, and upon Vice Governor Sergio Acevedo's election to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies in 1999, he was nominated as Governor Néstor Kirchner's running mate, taking office as vice governor on 10 December. Chango Family
La Chango Family is a Montreal, Quebec based band that plays a mixture of reggae, ska, funk, and other genres of music, which is often called world music. The band was formed in 2000 by singer/author/composer Lundo (Xavier Vacher) Chango after the breakup of Le Clan Destino and has played in many different configurations from the acoustic Trio Chango to the larger productions of La Chango Family Circus and Chango Family Soundsystem. With over 40 musicians since its creation, the sound of the band has evolved constantly throughout the years, from its reggae/gypsy hippyish roots, to the more big band sounds and finally the return to the composers punk roots and a much heavier guitar laden sound with more sombre mood and themes. Shango (Yoruba language: Ṣàngó, also known as Changó or Xangô in Latin America; as Jakuta or Badé; and as Ṣangó in Trinidad Orisha) is an Orisha (or spirit) in Yoruba religion. Chang'e ( ; ), originally known as Heng'e (), is the goddess of the Moon and wife of Hou Yi, the great archer.
