Ryan Murphy is Councillor for Chandler Ward, in Brisbane City Council. Chandler Ward covers Chandler, Burbank, Carindale, Gumdale, Mackenzie, Mansfield, Ransome, Rochedale, and parts of Belmont and Wakerley. Ransome is an outer coastal suburb in the City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In the , Ransome had a population of 405 people. Geography Ransome is by road east of the Brisbane CBD. It is on the boundary with the City of Redland. Ransome is bounded to the north by Moreton Bay, to the east by Tingalpa Creek, to the south by Chadwell Street and to the west loosely by Lota Creek. Rickertt Road enters the suburb from the west (Wakerley) and travels straight east through the suburb and exits to the east (Thornside); it is the only through road in the suburb. 2020 Brisbane City Council Election
Elections to Brisbane City Council were held on Saturday 28 March 2020 to elect a councillor to each of the local government area's 26 wards and the direct election of the Lord Mayor of Brisbane. The election resulted in the re-election of the Liberal National Party under Adrian Schrinner as Lord Mayor and the Liberal National Party with a majority council. In the Lord Mayoral election, Adrian Schrinner and the Liberal National Party was declared the winner after defeating Pat Condren and the Labor Party on a two-party-preferred basis - 56.3% to 43.7%. In the ward elections, there were no changes to the representation of the 26 wards, with the Liberal National Party retaining the 19 wards they previously held, the Labor Party retaining the 5 wards they previously held, along with the Greens and Independents each retaining their single wards. Adrian Schrinner
Adrian Schrinner is the incumbent Lord Mayor of Brisbane. He was sworn in on 8 April 2019 after outgoing Lord Mayor Graham Quirk announced his resignation, Schrinner was endorsed by the LNP Party Room on 31 March 2019 as Quirk's successor. He has represented the ward of Chandler for the Liberal National Party of Queensland since September 2005. Schrinner was elected Deputy Mayor in April 2011 after the post was vacated by incoming Lord Mayor Graham Quirk. Schrinner is the youngest person in Brisbane's history to be in the position. Michael Caltabiano (born 8 April 1964) was a Liberal Party member of the Brisbane City Council from 1996 to 2005, and a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 2005 to 2006. The Liberal Party of Australia (Queensland Division), branded as Liberal Queensland, was the Queensland division of the Liberal Party of Australia until 2008. Graeme Robert McDougall (born 21 November 1946) is an Australian politician and businessman. He was a member of the House of Representatives from 1996 to 1998, representing the Queensland seat of Griffith for the Liberal Party. He also served on Brisbane City Council. Early life McDougall was born on 21 November 1946 in Taree, New South Wales. He holds an associate diploma in business management from East Sydney Technical College.
