Carrol Howard "Howie" Chandler (born March 16, 1952), is a retired United States Air Force four-star general. He last served as the 35th Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force from August 27, 2009, to January 14, 2011. He previously served as commander of Pacific Air Forces from November 2007 to August 20, 2009, and deputy chief of staff for operations, plans and requirements from October 23, 2005, to November 29, 2007. Edward Grover "Bud" Chandler (26 September 1905 — 2 July 1996) was an American tennis player. Chandler, raised in Berkeley, California, was a two-time state singles champion and played collegiate tennis for UC Berkeley. He won back to back national intercollegiate singles titles in 1925 and 1926. Graduating from college in 1926, Chandler competed briefly on tour and was ranked as high as fifth in the country. Brett Chandler (born 11 July 1975) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Fitzroy Football Club, Fitzroy and North Melbourne Football Club, North Melbourne in the Australian Football League (AFL). Chandler made his way into the Fitzroy team from the reserves, after originally coming to the club from the Eastern Ranges Under 18s. He played his first AFL season in 1995 and in 1996 averaged 16 disposals.
