Chanathip Muanpawong
Chanathip Songkrasin ( th, ชนาธิป สรงกระสินธ์, ; born 5 November 1993), also known as Jay ( th, เจ, ), is a Thai professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for J1 League club Kawasaki Frontale and the Thailand national team. Club career BEC Tero Sasana Chanathip was promoted to the BEC Tero Sasana first team squad by new coach Andrew Ord who had also been his youth team coach. His first senior team goal came on 6 May, in a match against Thai Port in the Thai League 1, which gave BEC Tero Sasana a 2–0 win. In early 2013 Chanathip had an offer from J.League side Gamba Osaka. At the end of the season, he won the TPL Young Player of the Year. In mid-October Shimizu S-Pulse of the J.League offered him a trial at the end of the 2013 season. Thailand National Football Team
The Thailand national football team ( th, ฟุตบอลทีมชาติไทย, , ) represents Thailand in senior international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Thailand. In the regional competition, Thailand is the most successful football team in Southeast Asia with six AFF Championship trophies and nine senior-level gold medals from the Southeast Asian Games, the most of any Southeast Asian country. In higher levels, Thailand achieved the third place in the 1972 AFC Asian Cup where it was the host, and has totally seven appearances in the AFC Asian Cup so far. Furthermore, the team reached the fourth-place in the 1990 and 1998 Asian Games and participated in the Summer Olympics twice. 2012 AFF Championship
The 2012 AFF Championship, sponsored by Suzuki and officially known as the 2012 AFF Suzuki Cup, was the 9th edition of the AFF Championship, the football championship of Southeast Asia. It was co-hosted for group stage by Malaysia and Thailand and took place from 24 November to 22 December 2012. Malaysia were defending champions, but they were eliminated by Thailand in the semi-finals Singapore became the first side to win the AFF Championship four times, beating Thailand 3–2 on aggregate in the finals. Singapore coach Radojko Avramović also became the most successful coach in tournament history, adding to his wins in 2004 and 2007. 2012 Thai Premier League
2012 Thai Premier League (known as Sponsor Thai Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 16th season of the Thai Premier League since its establishment in 1996. A total of 18 teams are competing in the league. Teams Khonkaen, Siam Navy and Sriracha were relegated to the 2012 Thai Division 1 League after finishing the 2011 season in the bottom three places. 2011 Thai Division 1 League champions Buriram, runners-up Chainat and third place BBCU were promoted to the Thai Premier League.
