Chanakya (2005 Film)
''Chanakya'' is a 2005 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film directed by A. Venkatesh and produced by Vishwas Sundar. It stars R. Sarathkumar, Namitha, Laya and Vadivelu. The music was composed by Srikanth Deva with cinematography by Madhu Ambat and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The film released on 23 September 2005 to average reviews and became average at box office. It is the Sarath Kumar's hundredth film. Plot Ganesh is an auto driver and kind-hearted man who goes out of his way to earn money to help the poor and the needy. He likes to be in the limelight. Knowing well that the media would sensationalize anything that has to do with popular people in the city, he kidnaps a businessman, and in another instance, he implicates and submits himself to the police for a murder of an MLA that he does not commit. Panju Arunachalam
Panchanathan Arunachalam (22 March 1941 – 9 August 2016) was an Indian writer, director, producer and lyricist who worked in Tamil cinema. He was mentored by poet Kannadasan who was his uncle. He also worked as a lyricist in the Tamil cinema industry. He started producing films under his production banner named P. A. Arts. His son Subbu Panchu Arunachalam is an actor and dubbing artist in the Tamil film industry. Singamuthu
Singamuthu (born 8 December 1958) is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films as a comedian. Career Singamuthu has primarily appeared in comedy roles in films as a supporting actor debuting in ''Neram Nalla Irukku'' (1987). He started developing his career in the acting sector by doing small comedy roles in cinemas. He often shared screen space with popular comedian Vadivelu, and the duo has given many hilarious comedy scenes to Tamil movies. Singamuthu's son, Vaasan Karthik, made his debut as an actor through ''Maa Madurai'' (2007), but failed to make a career in the film industry. Karthik (born 7 November 1980) is an Indian playback singer and composer. Karthik started his professional singing career as a backing vocalist and has since been working as a playback singer.
