Chamrail is a census town in Bally Jagachha CD Block of Howrah Sadar subdivision in Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a part of Kolkata Urban Agglomeration. Chamrail is under the jurisdiction of Liluah Police Station of Howrah City Police. Chamrail is famous for the historical Brambha Vishnu Maheshwara puja. This puja was established in the year 1889 by Narayan Chandra Chakraborty and some other people of chamrail. This puja is the oldest puja of this village. Geography Chamrail is located at . State Highway 15 (West Bengal), is a state highway in West Bengal, India. Route SH 15 originates from junction with SH 6 and SH 14 at High Road Morh, near Dainhat (in Bardhaman district) and passes through Chandrapur, Monteswar, Kusumgram, Memari, Masagram, Jamalpur, Tarakeswar, Champadanga, Masat, Chanditala, Dankuni, Domjur, Bargachia, Munsirhat, Amta, Bagnan, Khalor and Shyampur and terminates at Gadiara (in Howrah district). 2011 Census Of India
The 2011 Census of India or the 15th Indian Census was conducted in two phases, house listing and population enumeration. The House listing phase began on 1 April 2010 and involved the collection of information about all buildings. Information for National Population Register (NPR) was also collected in the first phase, which will be used to issue a 12-digit unique identification number to all registered Indian residents by Unique Identification Authority of India.
