The Championship Grand Final (previously the National League One Grand Final) is the championship-deciding game of the Championship competition via the playoffs. Since 2022 the Grand Final has also been used to determine promotion to Super League. The Salford Red Devils are a professional rugby league club in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, who play in the Super League. The RFL Championship Leaders' Shield is a shield awarded to the team finishing the season top of Championship in the sport of rugby league football. Currently the Shield is awarded to the team finishing top of the Championship at the end of the regular season. The Championship play-offs determine the league Champions and promotion to Super League. League 1 Promotion Final
The League One Play-Off Final is a series of play-off games that determine the one or both of teams who are promoted to the Championship. The play-offs have included different number of teams since 2009. History 2003: Institution A Third Division was reintroduced in 2003 and was branded as National League Two. It was decided a play-off system would be introduced in both National Leagues One and Two to decide who would be promoted from their respective leagues. Halifax were one of the original twenty-two rugby clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895. The 2022 Rugby Football League Championship is a rugby league football competition played in England. It is the second tier of the three tiers of professional rugby league in England, below Super League, and above League 1.
