Champagne Or Guinness
''Champagne or Guinness'' is an extended play released by Irish girl group B*Witched in 2014. After reuniting as part of the TV series '' The Big Reunion'' in 2012 and the success of the subsequent tour, B*Witched began recording new music. ''Champagne or Guinness'' was their first EP in over a decade, following "Across America 2000" in 2000. Background and composition B*Witched released their second album, '' Awake and Breathe'', in 1999. Though it was certified platinum in the UK, it was less successful than their debut self-titled album. Just before they were to begin recording their third album in 2002, they were told that their record label, Sony, had dropped them. A discussion took place amongst the members of the group in relation to finding another record label, however, the group officially split later that year when Sinéad O'Carroll decided to leave the band. B*Witched
B*Witched are an Irish girl group consisting of twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinéad O'Carroll. Originally active between 1997 and 2002, they enjoyed success in both Europe and North America between 1998 and 2002, releasing two albums and eight singles, all of which made the UK Top 20. Their first four singles, "C'est la Vie", "Rollercoaster", " To You I Belong" and "Blame It on the Weatherman", all reached number one in the UK Singles Chart. In 2002, having sold over 3 million albums worldwide, B*Witched were dropped by their record company. Soon afterwards, when O'Carroll decided to leave, the group split up. ''QX Magazine'' was a free LGBTQ weekly magazine distributed at most LGBTQ spaces across London and the UK. The magazine was based in London. As a free magazine, it hads a high proportion of advertising space for revenue. Although the magazine included arts reviews, articles on issues affecting the LGBTQ community, its main focus was the club and bar scene of the capital. QX's main feature was its photographic galleries of revellers from the previews weekend. It also infamously featured often explicit adverts for male escorts in its back pages. G-A-Y
G-A-Y is a long-running gay nightclub, based at Heaven in Charing Cross, London. It started in 1976, and for many years was based at the London Astoria. History G-A-Y started in 1976 in the Sundown club in the basement of the London Astoria (later LA2) as a Monday night event called ''Bang!''. It was started by club promoters Norman Scott, Damien Tony and Jerry Collins, who worked as a DJ under the name Gary London. During the 1980s, ''Bang!'' (which had by then also expanded to Saturday night) and ''Propaganda'' (Thursday night) were run by gay club promoter and DJ Colin Peters (Peter Daubeney), whose brother Jamie continued as promoter for a period following his death. South Shields
South Shields () is a coastal town in South Tyneside, Tyne and Wear, England. It is on the south bank of the mouth of the River Tyne.
